I’ve called east Madison my home since 2011. I love living in such a vibrant and active community and am so honored and humbled to be able to serve you as your District 17 representative. I own a home in Eastmorland that I share with my dogs and cats, all rescues. Ask me about them sometime- I can talk pet rescue for hours!
Prior to settling in Madison, I lived in Iowa City, Iowa while I attended the University of Iowa College of Law. While in law school, I also achieved a Masters of Public Health. While there, I earned the Jurisprudence Award for Academic Excellence, the Pro Bono Society Award, worked in the Citizen Lawyer Program, was Research Assistant to the Dean of Civic Engagement and a leader in the Equal Justice Foundation and Environmental Law Society. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English from Grinnell College, where I was also a member of the varsity swim team and studied abroad in London, England.
I’ve worked for some incredible population health- focused organizations since I arrived in Madison, including the Wisconsin Population Health Institute where I was a Fellow between 2011 and 2013; the Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative, where I started the Southern Wisconsin Immunization Consortium; Wisconsin Department of Health Services, where I served as the Health Emergency Communications Lead; and finally UW Organ & Tissue Donation, where I currently manage regulatory compliance and quality improvement. I love going to work each day knowing I am helping a fantastic and hard working team save lives.
